Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

soliz - he was able to put in for overnight wkend liberty still? is it possible you think since they haven't been released yet?

he still has gotten released from the A school side at GL. it's been 3 hrs ughhh this is so frustrating...

OMG PIR WAS AMAZING!!!!!! so proud of all the new sailors and i cant say it enough! my bf's family and i are waiting for him to get checked into A school at great lakes but it was so great to see him!!!! :D

welll i got to see my borther but only for a little bit cuse since he is a grad and go he had to go back to his ship and get ready to go across the street and check in and stuff so i wont see him again for another 3 hours or so..but hopefully he puts in the request for overnight liberty and he can stay out till sunday.

@ Scott's mom - near the mall in gurnee is Outback Steak but doesn't open till later in afternoon. We went to Lonestar after hanging out in hotel with snacks so he could get a shower and everyone could visit & chill. There wasn't a big rush at Lonestar by the time we got there, and the meal was great, the service was wonderful and it served as our lunch/dinner which kept the cost down for our mob!
