glassdog-my son is in the same ship/division as your SR and I have only received the form letter, no calls or real letters yet. I'm only wearing clothes with pockets so I can have my cell phone on my person at all times, lol!

kylesmom:

Howdy right on back, Yea with my son being Nuke...he will have a total of 2 years for A School, so with basic training/boot camp and his Nuke school it will be 2013 for me LOL.  He will get leave before that time I know.

I am going to eventually clean his room from top to bottom, moving out all stuff, shampoo carpets, do base boards, and clean the inside of his closet, and do all of his dressers too.  NO I don't go to other peoples houses to do this LOL.  But for now it will stay the way it is, its a way of still kinda connecting with him now that he is gone.

amsred, did you want them to do this?  Wow that would have been hard to come back too

I went away for the weekend and my younger son took over my SR's room...and even rearranged/cleaned it.  I was glad I wasnt the one to have the task of cleaning it.  However neither my husband or son was able gather up the nerve to pack up SR's things.  They just moved them from his bedroom to the spare closet...which is now stuffed full for me to pack up for my SR.

Hi TxLadyJane,

Yeah, the morning he was leaving for BC I looked in his room and said "are you seriously leaving this mess for me?"  He laughed and said, "just leave it the way it is."  I said "til when?  2015?"  I'm still working on it to make it presentable.  It's my project for Sat. morning.

congrats kylesmom that is just great.  Yea I know what you mean about a messy room, he did pick it up a little left a pile of dirty clothes on the floor but he did make his bed, first time in probably 2 months it had been so I have to give him that much credit before he left.  I am proud of my husband, we used to keep our sons room's door shut, now its wide open and a few of his belongings are on the bed, so that when my husband walks by the room, he can look at it and think of our son.  It made me a little teary once my husband said that.

Hey all you Div. 095 moms!  I got a phone call too!!!  He sounds great!  He says he likes BC and he actually said that he likes shining his boots!  I thought that was hysterical since he left his bedroom a total mess for me to clean up!  He also had 2 wisdom teeth removed and is a little sore from that (soft foods, etc). Said he has been praying with a couple of the other guys in his division which made me really happy.  Not sure if they are your boys or not.  Sounds like Div. 095 is doing well.  So glad that we all got to hear from our boys.  This will definitely carry me through for a while.

So would like a phone call right about now.  I am so happy that Haps and AlisonSailor both got calls.  Yes you must be in heaven.
