AGCSSailorMom, I'm so glad you got a letter! I hate our sons are not in the same division, but they will still have the same PIR. Thanks for sharing your news!

Oh I am sooooo  happy!!!  I finally got a letter from my son.  He sounds good.  Says it's going by fast! That he has met alot of new buddies.  He also says that they are working out and running alot, that doesn't mind it though.  His Ship is 12 and Division is 096.  Anyone else on that ship and division, I would love to hear from you!

amsred:  Our rule of thumb on here with calls is:  Be ready any time!

Amsred2, I am a full time student too and I would gladly fail a test if it meant getting that call from my son! The one call I got other than the "I'm here" call was on Saturday afternoon. I have wondered the same thing about if there was a "usual" time they would call.

A question for those that have gotten phone calls.  Do they come primarily in the evening or during the day...or is there no rhyme or reason.  I guess I will just start forwarding all my house calls to my cell phone.  I am a full time student so all my teachers will just have to understand when i go running out of the classroom to constantly answer my phone.

Just got our fisrt. Letter!!!!! Cried the entire time I read it. Lol. He says he's in a push division but based on his grad date, he'll be there for more than weeks. Anyone know more information?

I am so ready for a letter, but I can guess that if my son has ANY free time, he will find a place to hide and sleep instead.  Who knows, maybe he'll be homesick enough to write.  Congrats to all those who got letters!  I know it makes your day...week!

Happy Dance, Happy Dance, Im doin the Happy Dance!!!!!! I got a letter!!!!! It was the best feeling in the whole world!!!!! He sounds great. He seems to be doing really good. Did say it was really cold. He even made a comment that sounded all grown up...said he has learned new limits for himself. Was doing things that he thought was pushing him over the edge but come to find out, he got through it. PROUD MOMA!!!!!!!!!!!! Im pretty sure im gonna sleep with the letter under my pillow tonight LOL.
