Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Just wanted to stop by and congratulate you all on your new SAILORS!  Our son's PIR was last Friday and it was wonderful!  Hope you enjoy every minute of your time with your sailors!

We are leaving this afternoon so this will probably be my last post unless where we stay tonight has an internet cafe...Unlikely....Thank you everyone for everything.  Please be safe while traveling and I hope to see everyone at the meet and greet or at graduation.  Can't wait to get my arms around my Sailor!

rivergal:  Here's the Public Affairs Office phone number.  Call them and give them your original PIR date/password.  Explain his situation.  Then they should be able to give you the password for this group. They will first verify that he is graduating on Friday and then should give you the password.  Also, you can always take a cab from the hotel...so don't worry.

Got the call from my wife around 430 est today! She was exhausted.. (she had midnight watch the night before, AND is Yeoman of her division so she has to wake up 30 mins before rev).. she didn't have much to say, but it was GREAT to hear her all the same! Can't wait for PIR!

YMM the site that was mentioned was N4M, the post was deleted because it did so, ask the others involved, it was under our Ship Name and Number, I am just letting you know what was said in our thread.
