teresa:  He most likely is "bussed out" at 2 a.m. with the others to wait for his flight...some flights start early in the morning--others later in the day, but hopefully he will have some "wait" time at the airport so that you can meet him there and share some time!

Curious about Captains Cup as well... Maybe some of us will get calls today. One can hope :~)

Hope everyone gets the liberty they had hoped and planned on. Seems that plenty are GNG. I read on a post somewhere that one of the reasonings may be to make it "fair" to all people. I can only speak for myself and personally it does not bother me that some may get overnights as opposed to full days or Grad and Go.

Our son is in 091 - he told us that they had to be back on base on later than 9pm. He leaves for A school a few hours after that.

I also got a call today. Kinda panicked when I saw the area code-I thought he might be calling to say he wouldn't be graduating on time, but it was just a "reward" call they all got to make. He said Div 102 came in third in the Captain's Cup and they would get to carry a flag at PIR for it. He's going straight to A school in GL, but didn't say specifically whether he expected overnight liberty or not. And sorry, he didn't say who won the Cup.

my SR told me as well the other day he will have overnight liberty all weekend - told by the chief or RDC. I can't remember who he mentioned, but so frustrating not knowing. best to just plan as if we won't get overnights for now. ughhh
