Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Lynda:  I know, it's a shame about no more overnights for the GL A School sailors...but at least you should have him all day Sat. and Sun until 8 or 9....unless he has watch for part of that time.

I got my call at 1:01 today at work walking down the hall with my boss...it was the talk of the floor this afternoon...WOO HOOO...and of course, I couldn't post until I got home just now and I'm crying again just thinking about the call.

My husband just called he officially is a sailor..72 mins!!!! But I also found out he's a grad and go and flys out Saturday. :)

So disappointed about liberty for graduating Sailors next week, 03/11/11...  My son thought he would have the entire weekend with us...  :/  Skipper Lintner just answered the question on facebook, and the policy does change next weekend.  :/

So glad that 93-96 went last night.  Thinking that there is a good chance that the schedule in the discussion group is back on track now.  Wheeew!

YES! I GOT THE PHONE CALL! but she is a grad and go as well... that stinks but i have been sooooo looking forward to her phone call... congrats to everyone!

dren:  He mostly likely will get to call again next week...mine did when he went on Thurs/Fri for his BattleStations...called the next Tues night when they had a pizza party. You can only hope!

Well apparently all Sailors from 93 are Grad N Go (well, Saturday departure) :(

But yay! I'm excited that I got to talk to my husband, my Sailor <3
