Has anyone from Ship 12 DIV 094 received any calls.  So far I have only received one call (other than the I'm here call) and that was the beginning of February.  From his letters their Div is doing well and I was hoping from that they would earn a call again.  ???

If you have information and you have permission, please share so we can send a thank you, encouraging card or letter. You can "Send Message to Group' at the top of the group page - to the right, above the members with the envelope. right below that is the leave group link. That goes out privately to only the members of this group. Yes, I am learning -woo hoo. Ready to start  'ANSWER' Adopt a Noble Sailor Write Every Recruit" ! I have done some further research and it seems that near every PIR has some SR;s that experience this and the honorable SR writes home about it. This is an important charactor building time in these peoples lives. Let's be that village that teaches empathy even though we are not standing in their shoes or even near those ready to give it all for us, their country!

Aloha and all good stuff! Felicia

Hello Carol,

I have searched and belong to Mollies group which is wonderful. Not really on point of writing SR's in BC in my opinion. I have already written the N4M's Admin and posed the question to them on how best to facilitate this request if possible. Still waiting for any information on writing anyone in particular from this group. I did read a post where a daughter wrote her mother that some SR's were not getting any mail so she shared hers. All of our SR's would and probably do. That was last year and I can't find the post again -drat. Tired and anxious at the same time. 10 days without a word myself.  I know he is fine and safe and he definately is getting letters, if only from me... In the forum it said that the RDC's know who gets mail so I think it best to get an 'ANSWER' from N4M's admin. My thought is to make a niche' group that serves just that purpose. A group or forum that can be searched and written to after contact/joining and then by private message send and circulate the name and releasable info, maybe even a few particular accomplishments/trials that person is experiencing in confidence to show 'someone cares', that MMFI (make me feel important) at that moment whatever it may be. A friend I met here told me of her experience with her extended family member facing a close loss in their immediate family, having to leave BC and then return to complete. WOW, that person needed understanding mail huh? Meanwhile I suppose there is no harm putting an extra card (bought a bunch from the dollar store tonight) in a letter for our SR's to give to someone with encouragement and a huge Thank You. If they are told not to them they wont. What do you ladies think?

No letter in 2 weeks. Really miss him. Know he is doing okay because his fiance has gotten some. Guess I just don't rate that high or else he knows I'll understand and love him anyway.

There is a Group that does send letters.  Sometimes they pick a particular ship to send cards and gifts to.  Some of their members will gladly get on board with whatever help they can give.  Check out Mollies Adopt a Sailor group, in that group thewre are several different projects going, some are writing, some are collecting and do packing parties to send to the sailors, one of their projects has a list that if any sailor is stranded away from home ..you can add your name to be a good Samaritan pick him up for a holiday meal and take him back to base.  They are doing wonderful things.  So hop on board, ladies we are all welcome.

I thought about sending some mail to my SR and inserting some card(s) inside each one without a name but stamped and return my address; have them give them to the RDC's or the mail people (after he/we get permission of course) just so they know there are Mom's all over who do care! For heavens sake - Can we start an "Adopt a Noble Sailor Write Every Recruit" (ANSWER) ? I am busting to get a caring message to those with such "Honor Courage and Commitment"! Did I get that one right diannep? My empty nest want to send some aloha!
