Sailormom this was written beautifully and may I add that I thank God for the all the men and women who serve their country with courage and commitment and for our sons, daughters, and grandchildren who have had the fortitude to join them and the principles by which we live and have passed on through the generations and the strength, sacrifice, and love I see here on N4Ms.  This is why we have the greatest country in the world.

:). Hey. I didn't get a letter today either. So I decided to come here and start a gratitude thread, because all our boys are making it through one of the most challenging changes of our lives and we are lucky to have such awesome kids.

Thank you N4M for being here when I had no idea what was going on and letting me whine, hang out and ask the saaaaaame questions over and over again.

Thank you US Navy for giving my son the chance to challenge himself and grow inside of the best military organization in the world.

Thank you RDC's for your commitment and professionalism in training and educating our recruits.

Thank you RDC's for being positive role models for my son.

Thank you shipmates for helping my son when he needed help; thank you for serving each other with team spirit and fairness

Thank you God for all our blessings today here in our free country.

Thank you to all who serve in the US military, protecting us from harm and defending our freedom.

:) Join on in if you want to.

Me too, Jean!  But you know, from all the concern that is voiced here, I think our boys have been taught to be responsible and to act with dignity and respect, and I really feel from the quality of Moms on this site our boys are going to be just fine because they have come from loving  and supportive homes. This is where their moral fiber comes from.  So pat yourselves on the back  Moms for a job well done!

I know what you mean Carol.  I just want to know that my son is ok.  I could deal with everything else.

I think it is going to be major waterworks for all on graduation!   We feel like we are in the dark. Right now I think we are stressed for them.  It makes it difficult that we can't just pick up the phone and hear their voices...then we would know that they are OK.  And we might hear them say "Chill Mom, don't you know I love you?"  We are playing second fiddle not only to girlfriends, but to the US Navy.  They are not our little boys any more and it is killing us.  But hang in there, they love you and you will all get a big giant hug in just a few weeks.

I am waiting for the mailman as we speak.  I am anxious to hear from my son, but they must be very busy because even the GF has not heard anything. It is hard to believe Monday we can print passes.
