mom wants to make sure we wont miss him. She thinks we wont be able to find him so doesnt want to be rushed with missing the shuttle and then having to get a taxi back here. thanks for your help. greatly appreciated.

We are at Americas Best Value Inn. Shuttle leaves at 6:40. Hotel clerk suggested driving so we wouldnt be rushed. No shuttles allowed after 11 am she told us. But my uncle can picked us up when we are ready to leave even if we do take the shuttle. Which is probably the best option. I figure they know where they are going and I dont, lol. If we take the shuttle, we will arrive in plenty of time? And does anyone know how we will get to meet up with our sailors?

Word of advice for all of you ladies at PIR! Take the EARLIEST shuttle that you can. Get there early for choice seating. If you are driving, you need to be in line by about 5:30 from what I was told. We took the 6:30 shuttle and arrived in plenty of time. Just a suggestion!

cheri: Are you at the Ramada? Someone had said before that the Ramada kept extra passes there. You may want to call over there and ask. That is where the Meet and Greet is tonight (should be going on now). I would check with the Ramada and see about it. Someone there could make a copy of their pass for you, I would think.

But, re-think the shuttle. They come and go for a long time after PIR and your son gets to ride on it with you back to the hotel ($3/person). I found the shuttle to be much easier.

Does anyone know how I can download a parking pass? We are at the hotel and had planned on taking the shuttle. However, my mom wants to drive because she is afraid we will be rushed and she will not get to see her grandson before the shuttle leaves. I never downloaded the pass and left all my letters at home so I dont know the password for the mil website. The hotel clerk said she would see what she could do and would call us later. I thought maybe someone here could help and put my moms mind at ease. Again, thanks to all and hope you all made it here safe!

I wanted to say thanks for all support and info. This is a great website. I know I have been inactive for a few weeks, my cousins baby is in need of a liver transplant so we have all been busy, life is crazy right now. I just wanted you to know I havent forgotten you all. We probably wont make it to the meet and greet but I will be wearing my scarf to PIR so I hope to meet some of you. I hop everyone has a safe trip. I am so proud of all our sailors. Ive been crying all morning, I think Ive been holding it in for the last 8 weeks, lol. I just cant wait to hug him!!!

Barb, and all the other moms that have women sailors. I thought about that in the shower this morning and was feeling bad. Did not mean to exclude anyone. I have 3 boys and I am a little brain washed. So to all of our strong women and men....CONGRATULATIONS SAILORS!

Hello Nvmbreseventh.....
Congrat's on your upcoming wedding. We had one of our mom's that organized the spreadsheet you can see above that's in Excel format. It's the link below the countdown clock. Her name was Juli and she was awesome along with the rest of the mom's/wifes/gf's. The Ramada Inn by base does a Meet & Greet the night before PIR. Since alot of us mom's have become good friends with each other they had decided to assign scarf colors per division and then wear them to the meet & greet or PIR., This way we can put names & faces to our men that we've talked about for the last 8 weeks.
Congrat's with your upcoming PIR....It's been a long 8 weeks but so worth the wait. We are flying out in a few hours to attend our son's PIR. Let us know if you need or have further questions.
Hugs...
Janiece /Utah
