OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Susie1215, Don't worry Mom, they are so tired after being up so long. My son didn't act as excited as I thought he would but by the time PIR he told me all about it and was very happy. he told me he even had tears when they put on their navy cap. So be excited for him and yourself. The drink will help.

Susie, he will be fine after a good sleep. Scarlett was not super enthusiastic either. She sounded completely worn out.
Comment by diannep on April 19, 2010 at 6:00pm
Susie: Friday will be much better. Try not to think about it. Sounds like he is just beyond exhausted.
