thanks Deanna, i will have to give the money back to matthew, i do not care what it is. i told him i wanted pictures and DVD and the keel. he might not care about those things now but he will later down the road. i would'nt trade all the things from my dads navy career, now that he is gone...matthew loves to look at all the books and pictures.they mean the world to me!

Moms..are we going to be able to leave cell phones with our Sailors when we leave? or do we have to mail them when they get the ok at A school? It would make life easier if we could have contact. agree?

Jaime and Manny...Well deserved and Congrats! All us Mom/grandmothers/ GF etc. think he deserves OUR award. How could we have done this without him? Div 164 thanks him.

dubbie, You sure can bring in a cushion. They are hard but I think I was so excited that I didn't notice how bad it was and I got there by 6:30 am.

About Pictures - Your recruit has to order them. My Mom and I both wanted pictures so we told my son to make sure almost two of everything. That included two keels and two DVD's. I guess he was afraid to mess it up because it cost 450 but we did get some great frames with the navy emblem on them. I think the normal package the recruits order is around 150. It comes out of their pay but my Mom and I paid him back.

Ramona, I might have been okay with it if he was still in elementary. But, middle school here is a whole different thing.

That would really be terrible if they hold it from him because of that, Hearingasailor.

Oh gosh, People are getting Honor Recruit letters today? I know my husband was tied with a girl in his division, and now I'm scared they didn't give it to him because the RDC's are mad about me posting about the Div. 166 being held back letter...I really hope I didn't cost him that award. ;(
