GL he is in the AECF program the ET side and its 236 days

heartingasailor-in the aecf group I see some people say rdc's are trying to talk them out of it which is crazy. You can he just has to fill out a live ashore packet which takes about a month. But who in their right mind would talk a sailor out of having their family move to be closer when their school is about a year long?

Wait. what? RDCs are saying wives and children can't move if the husband's A School is over a year?? Where did you hear this? My husband is going to be in Groton, CT for 18 months. Also, has anyone heard about Div. 166's weekend liberty? My husband told me they get the weekend off, but I'm just double checking....

I just got home so I couldn't post earlier. No internet connection. Wow what a day! I went to visit my mother who lives 2 1/2 hours away from me and I got pulled over for speeding UGH. The good Lord was with me because the officer only gave me a warning. Thank the Lord!! I got the call from Ben (DIv 923). I had just left my moms and stopped for gas when he called my cell. I turned around while he talked to his dad and sisters so I could surprise my mom the call. ( we were only 2 miles from her house). Her face lite up when we handed her the phone. Fantastic way to go DIV 923 for finally coming together as a team. I have to get caught up on the postings. Good luck to the Divsions going to Battlestations tomorrow night. Sweet Dreams everyone and remember only 5 days left!

I am just curious as to why some of the rdc's are telling recruits who's A schools are longer than a year that their wife and kids shouldnt move to be closer to their sailor.....Do they expect to be a family and not see eachother for more than a year? I would assume that for b/f g/f relationships but married couples with children? I am seeing this alot......My husbands A school is 236 days in GL am I wrong for being peeved?
