Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

For all of you guys still waiting....I know how you feel.....I've been waiting since yesterday morning. I will be hoping everyone will get a call shortly. Congrats to all the new sailors and their families....could not be more proud of ALL of you. Fair winds and following seas to all of you who are traveling.

Comment by momofthree on April 7, 2010 at 12:46pm: I read a post by waterman, and she posted something 10 hours ago saying BS was tonight - her son is in the same ship and div. My son tries to divide his call time between 2 families. 4 with me and 4 with his Dad. I think I asked him, but now , at the end of BT, I have learned to keep a pad and pencil by the phone :-)
It is listed on the Battlestations Event link that Ship 4 Div 809 BS was 4/6 , so Thank you for the confirmation. I hope I can sleep tonight !! The last 2 nights have not been good. I might need a Tylenol PM :-) Thank you so much seyasoon89 - I will post as soon as I get my call - I keep jumping when the phone rings !!!!!!!

Comment by BTHRASHER on April 7, 2010 at 12:40pm: Hey Val - I am claiming it too! We are leaving tomorrow at 2:00 pm. It is a 3 hours drive for us. We are coming from south of CHicago. I am anxiously awaiting a phone call even though I thought DIV 151 BS was today and tonight. Several people have said they heard it was last night and should get a call today. Been praying anyway. Gods knows what Caleb is doing! HE will take care of our boys and girls!
