Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by andy on April 7, 2010 at 11:30am: Hi VAl...I waited all day for my call yesterday, too, and when it finally came at 6:15 he told me that he in fact did not do BS with his div on Monday night, but was going to do them last night instead. Maybe something similar went on with your young man? So now today I am waiting (again) for a phone call! I don't know how my nerves are going to stand it! Everyone will know me at PIR as the crazed woman with no fingernails! Hang in there.

Comment by momofthree on April 7, 2010 at 10:13am: anyone who has a Sailor to be in Ship 04 Div 809 - I thought their BS was Monday night, then I thought it was Tuesday night - I just read waterman's post - is it really tonight ??? This means we will be in the air , flying to IL possibly getting a call - hmm - I gonna check and see if I can forward the home phone to my cell number - I do not know if it will occur to C that we will be in the air after he is sleep deprived ! Are BS really for his div tonight ?? Wed night ????

I so pray that all those in BS21 last night were successful as I look forward to meeting all of you at M & G on Thursday. Without the support of all prior N4Ms information I know I would've never thought to bring a lint roller or binoculars:) Everytime I even think about Friday my heart fills with pride for each of us and our sailors. Everyone have a safe trip !! TJs mom
