Since we will all be sitting in the same section of the bleachers at PIR, maybe it would be nice to have us all post something here in this section.  We could keep up with what the Division is doing by the letters others are receiving from this Division as well.

I will start us off, we will be flying in from Washington State, we will leave here on the 18th and then leave Chicago on that Monday after PIR.

Hoping to get a letter from my daughter tomorrow, but I do like to know what other hear from their loved ones as well that is in the same division, this way we can all keep up on what is going on...

Looking forward to hearing from all of you!

Brandismom, originally (I'm assuming it's still the case), Brit was going to the Nimitz. How far is that from you? She's requested we come visit for her birthday...in July!
Hello all!! We will be leaving Va.I received a letter yesterday. He sounds so different even in his letters. He likes it an is going well. Says he can fold clothes better than me now.He is eating well.Sam had already had his wisdom teeth removed when he was 16----thank goodness
I can't wait to see him,I have never missed so one so much.He has always been home and now not even a phone call and only a letter once a week.
The whole family is coming to PIR. This will be our vacation this year,it's a small fortune so we don't mind the sacrifice.
He wrote about some good friends, but I know we.cant use names, some are from San Diego ,Mississippi, new York ,hopefully I can meet you later.

Hi there~

I got 3 letters yesterday. She said they are writing on Tues/Thur now and mailed out last Friday.  This letter started out very difficult.  She was crying and said she is breaking and wants to come home and can't stand it.  She did go on to praise her div and how much she loves everyone!  That was great to hear in hopes they are starting to come together.  She said the girls share a compartment with another div and that is where the problems are.  There is alot of rivalry and fighting occurring,  The next letter was better, and by the last one she had spoken to me and was a different kid.  She said it was just what the Dr ordered and she was feeling so much betterto.  That was so good to hear.  It's been a week already since

they were written so I am sure so much has occurred since.

I'm hoping to get mail more often since they can mail out more often, but I'll take what I can get!  It's good to hear DIV 174 is coming together!!!

I hope she's doing good now, she's half way there.I know she can make it and so can you.she have a wonderful future now. My son likes it which doesn't surprise me he always loved doing the stuff I didn't want him doing. He's great boy,not just saying that cause he's mine. I wish I could give you his name to see if your daughter knows him, which by now I'm sure she does. He is th boy that does watch alot......black hair...

chilidawq92 where in virginia? I am leaving from Virginia.

Sorry I just saw this. We are in brookneal va. About 30 miles south of Lynchburg. Where are you in Va?

This page is a great idea Brandis Mom.  Thanks for starting it.  I finally got a letter from my daughter.  She is older and has been married for several years so her husband gets the phone calls and most of the letters.  Which is how it should be and I certainly understand that.  It has been very difficult for them to be apart, but I honestly feel this is a great path for my daughter.  I think she will thrive under the discipline and structure, once she gets past these first three or four weeks.  Her letter was very positive but she is exhausted at the moment.  Which is normal.

It is good to read that the group is learning to come together and work as a team.  I look forward to reading more about what you all have heard of our SRs.

I'm taking you are talking about Sarah Rotz (only one that comes to mind.) She was great. We all called her Mama Rotz because when we would be loud she was yell out "Don't make me count to 5!"
I am so glad to know our loved ones are together.  It gives me comfort!  She knows we all talk on here and said they all laugh about it. I'm sure it brings a sense of home and comfort to them also!  I am wondering how manype of us from 174 will be at PIR.  I saw posts about scarves and I think it would be a great way to represent and make them proud!  We are coming from Buffalo, Ny.  The time can't come quick enough!
Tricsious, We will be driving to Chicago on the 19th from Kansas City, KS.  I'm hoping that we leave early enough to be able to make the Meet and Greet at the Ramada.  I think the scarves would be a great idea.  Make it easier for our Sailors to spot us.  We are looking forward to meeting everyone.
What color of scarves are we thinking of getting?  I think something like that would be a great idea, just need to start discussing what color everyone can agree on and then we can maybe write our loved ones and let them know so they can pass on the word to the ones they write that are going to be at the PIR that might now be here on NavyForMoms.
