Kelly:  Mixed reviews on the Ramada.  Some really enjoy it, some say their room had a smell, others say no problem at all.  But is it convenient and the price is right. I believe their PIR shuttle is "free' whereas the one from Residence, Springhill Suites, and Courtyard is $3/pp each way.  And, of course, the MeetNGreet is at the Ramada.

@corpsmanGirl  I am assuming that you have received your form letter, right? There is a MWR pamphlet or at least there should have been one in there. It has a list of places to stay and things to do and see. They suggest telling them when you call to let them know you are coming out for GL PIR and you will be given more flexibility in case of a change in plans and you should not be pealized if you need to change plans. The pamphlet says to mention that you are calling from the MWR brochure. There is a better rate etc for you  at many of these hotels/motels as well as other locations.I dont know if you can do it that way through priceline or any other travel/ticket site. There is also a website listed on the front of the pamphlet www.mwrtravelplus.com  Check it out!

Welcome to the group catzmoo! I know that if I have questions or need advice or support I can come here I think that all of the groups at N4M's are great but this one is really great!! Tricsious got it up and running almost the minute after she got the PIR for her SR. Hats off to her and we have been growing steadily since!

I am starting to get anxious about booking our room etc...I would really like to get it done ASAP but the Hubs is out of town this week and we havent really decided yet where to stay. Still no letter for us or his gf But B is more of the texting and talking type....hoping that will change at BC! Love and Hugs from Colorado!!

Kelly, they can fly out of Ohare or Midway.  Your sailor will have his flight info by PIR.

Those staying in GL for A School will transfer over there right after PIR.  You will pick them up later on the A School base.
