everytime I hear a car come down the road I look out the window to see if the mail has come, but so far I am still empty handed, like you amanda I am holding on to hope but not really expecting one this week or at least this early in the week, maybe by Friday or early next week, but today would be an awesome day for a letter, the sun is shining and it is not raining here in the Pacific Northwest..so that might be a good sign..of course at this stage I think I am ready to grab onto any sign of hope at all...but I am keeping the faith and spirits up, knowing that all our Sailors are doing the best they can and are having it probably rougher then we are...

When i checked earlier, the mailman was just putting stuff in the boxes so i'll check tonight :( On one hand, im staying positive b/c mr SR's favorite band came on when i got to the mailboxes..that could be a sign right? haha

On the other hand, i dont feel positive enough to know there will be one waiting for me..

If they have their A school across the street at Great Lakes I would make sure they had at least an hour to get to their dorms, some of the dorms are way on the other side of the schooling area, it is better to be safe then sorry.

oh, and when talking about dropping them back off, do you mean like an hour early or 30 mins. I dont want to get him in any trouble at all..

Thank you, I dont think he'll be grad n go, but I'm not totally sure.  So, we will have time with him Friday,Saturday and airport time Sunday. Do they fly our of Ohara, I'll be flying out that day too.. Do I have all that right? I know things change,I've learned that on here.Just some king of idea is better then none.

Usually you get to have your sailor with you Friday after the PIR, at some point, some may have to go across the street where their A school might be and check in and that could take up to 5 hours, most times it is less, but it can be lengthy, then they have a time they "have" to be back to their barracks on Friday night, then you get them on Saturday and once again they have a time limit they have to adhere to as well as on Sunday. So the main thing is to make sure you get your Sailor back in plenty of time when Liberty ends and remember that once you drop them off at the gate, it can be a long walk for them to get to their new barracks so give them ample time to get there in time and to check in with the dorm guard.  We do not want to get any of our Sailors in trouble.
