My son is now a member of Navy for Moms--Gunnie430.  He has posted an event here that I copied for you to see. I don't know that any of you will be interested, but here's the invitation:

This is an invitation to all family members who would like to come to my reenlistment.  The reenlistment will be at the USS Yorktown (visitor center/museum where you check-in for the graduation) at 1130.  There will be cake and maybe ice cream depending on the weather.  This is a good chance to see what exactly is done for a reenlistment.  The reenlisting officer will be the commanding officer of Recruit Training Command.  Sadly the only families allowed on base for this will be those families who have a recruit graduating on the 20th of May.  I would have preferred to do this on Armed Forces Day but I wanted to give something back to the families of those fresh new sailors.  There will probably be a little get together at Buffalo Wild Wings or downtown Chicago at Dicks Last Resort (if you havent heard or been there before, then you're in for a treat).  If there are any questions on the event then please feel free to contact me. (Gunnie430)
