talally had to look that one up, when I was in they were shopkeep, or postal clerk now it looks like the two have merged into one rating, her is the Wiki description

Logistics Specialists manage inventories of repair parts/general supplies and distribute mail for ships, squadrons, and shore-based activities. They procure, receive, store and issue material and repair components. They utilize financial accounting and database systems to perform inventory and financial management functions. Oops...forgot to mention I just got a quick phone call from my SR!! They are buying an paying for all their pictures and shirts, etc right now and wanted to make sure HR had enough $ lol!! It was so comforting to be able to confirm he passed his run and wish him luck tonight in bs21. What a great start to my Monday :) <3

Talally, my SR bought an iphone4 prior to leaving. Yes they get a 15-20% discount on their bill. The upside to the iPhone or similiar type of phone is the built in Internet access and with the iPhone the FaceTime. He was exceed to be able to talk ace to face with his girlfriend while away. And yes they can suspend service when going oversees, I believe AT&T told us it was called a military hold. :)

Talally, as far as cell phones go, they can actually put the plan on hold if and when they go out to sea or overseas, you should also let you SR get it in their name they did get a great discount for military I believe AT&T is 20% but am not sure about that.

There are 4 different colors of stripes for the whites, Navy Blue, red, blue and green depending on what the job is they are doing is what decides the color Navy blue is seamen, red is fireman, green is airmen and light blue is construction(seabees)

The # of stripes for E2 Is 2  and E3 is three. The colors represent their job or rate. Red I believe is fire safety, green is for flight crew. Not sure what the color device looks like but, I think I saw the info on Craig (navy retired) 's page. Congrats to your SR's LPO!

I thought the same thing Connie.  After BS they were allowed to eat Taco Bell, KFC or Subway.  They have to buy it of course, but they can eat what they please.  My dtr got an energy drink and said many SR's were eating candy bars!  Lol  Well deserved guilty pleasures.  She said the pizza party is Thur night.  So while we are gathering, so will they be.  Kind of bittersweet!!!

Thanks talally! I am keeping my candles lit 'til all of our TG 27 is through and get their pizza party! I guess they just have One Big Party after the whole TG is finished! I mistakenly thought that each group got a party when they finished BS21!
