Thinking of all of the R's that will be finishing BS this morning! I cant believe how fast the time has flown by! Also saying prays for the success of all of the Div.'s coming up on their turn! Hope everyone gets their calls!! 927 does BS Sun/Mon! Do they still get a chance to participate in the Captains Cup? I hope so! I wish the Families were invited to that! It would be a blast to see! I just hope that B is doing better and has shaken the pnuemonia, sinus infection and pink eye!! I would hate to have to deal with all of that!! HUGE hugs are coming out to all of youa1 Don't forget to breathe, relax and breathe again, we will make it through this easier than our Kiddo's will. Next week they will be adults and nothing will ever change that! Thank You US Navy!!

Got a letter, dated 5/8/11, from my SR (07/177) today.  His opening line was "12 Days and counting!" He was SIQ with pneumonia for 2 days, but is better. He said they go through the gas chamber on May 10th. Test Three, the final PT and the final Inspection is this week, and there is no room for makeups. Battle Stations is next week, Tuesday & Wednesday (5/17 & 5/18). And quote "Our third (last) phone call is on teh 18th of May" closed quote :)

Alright lets keeps rallying the troops and pray because we are about to see our Sailors soon!

Thank you DianneP and Tricsious!!! I will be very VERY relieved when I get that call!!

CorpsmansGirl:  They usually have them call home if they didn't pass their PFA before their division goes through BattleStations.  So assume no call is good news and he is going through tonight!  You will know when you get that call tomorrow that he's a sailor!

@SailorWhitworth, I'm glad your SR was able to call, I hate the circumstances, but so happy for you. I have a lot of family in Memphis and hope the best for everyone. It's funny, b/c I say the same thing to my SR 'stay positive and keep your head up baby' hahaha.
Comment by Tricsious (07/174) on May 12, 2011 at 9:28pm
I'm sure if he was being set back you would have heard from him.  Go with the no news is good news.  He will contact you if he is ASMOE'd
