For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If he did pass he would still be able to do battlestations tonight but i think i need reassurance since we (his mom or I ) have not heard from him if he passed or not. thoughts? advice?

And to all of us here waiting for that phone call, stay strong, try to keep from worrying and keep a Kleenex handy for all those tears of anticipation that are sure to be shed.

Comment by SailorWhitworth(Ship 04 Div 811) on May 12, 2011 at 6:41pm: I got a call from Devan about 30 mins ago! He got an "emergency call" because Memphis has been getting some really bad flooding! He's doing great! He says he can't wait till he passes BS so that he'll get an hour call to call back! I told him "Stay strong, keep your head up, and you got this, baby" and he replied "You know me!" hahaha I can't wait till May 20th! It lasted 3 minutes. It was very much needed! I'm all smiles!

Comment by cms on May 12, 2011 at 6:05pm: Hello Ladies: I received a letter from my SR today. He is still sick but does not want to go to the doctor because he doesn't want to miss anything. I have heard alot of them are sick and do not want to miss anything so they will not be held back. He did say that their last and final test (third one) is Friday the 13th! Oh NO! Prayers go out to all the SR's to pass the test then Captains Cup Saturday (should be FUN) and then Battlestations on Monday 5/16/11 for Div 175. They (we) are almost there!!
