Brandis Mom (ship 7 Div 174) - that would be great. I think it would really mean alot to her. Just the suggestion has made typing a response very hard. Can't see the keyboard through my tears. It is so hard being so far away. How do I get her address out privately since we are not to post it on here?

TK, if you think it would help to brighten your daughters stay there at Great Lakes, I know I would not mind writing to her with words of encouragement and I am sure lots of others would write her as well.  Just let us know her address and she will probably get more mail then she knows what to do with...

Glad all of you have made it safely back home. Also Congrats to all our ( yes it is a family here) new soldiers. Wish I could have been there. My daughter is doing worse and will be heading to Milwaukee on friday to see a surgeon there. She is so bored that she is almost ( very close to being ) ready to take a medical discharge. She is just very bored since they won't let her do a thing. She can shine her boots but not much else. I hope the surgeon will say he or she can help. Since she is very far into bootcamp once she gets the ok she has a few things to do and she can move on to A school. She would not be a part of a graduation ceremony but will at least get liberty. She has lost 15 pounds since I talked to her. On a happy note she has to call home anytime there is a change. On a sad note the Navy dentist there are no longer allowed to touch her. Praying that Friday brings good news and I still have nothing bad to say about the Navy.

@Brandi's Mom, how horrible! And here I thought the 1 1/2 hr delay getting to Chicago stunk! My mom was telling me that a friend of hers flew DirectAir and had a TWO DAY delay in coming back home to Myrtle Beach. At least you are home now and can finally relax.

Finally back home, Southwest had several delays so got into Washington almost 2am instead of 11pm, but more on all that later, just wanted to let all know that we are finally back home.

Hi Ladies,

Yes it is very weird to get those calls. Asking me, Mom, do you freeze hot pockets?

What about weinies. Just funny stuff. He is loving A school..

Does anyone know when we might get the DVD?

Comment by Patti (7/174) on May 24, 2011 at 11:13am
@ Diannep: I called that number and she said they didn't take phone orders, however she would email me the DVD application. Waiting on that now.
