Kelly in Katy, I'm sure dianne wouldn't mind if I answered for her.  (at least I hope not, lol)  If your SR happens to call you, you can ask them when their BS are, or they may let you know in your next letter.  Some of the SR's (like mine) keep it to themselves though, so you may have to hear when it is from someone else's SR.  Usually once dianne has an idea of some of them, she can guess when the others will go.  They sometimes go in numerical order.

Also, flat shoes would probably be a good choice, because it is bleacher style seating.

Dianne, so 177 and 178 are going through BS together? My son is in 178 and I have no clue when BS starts. Can you please tell me how I find out? This is funny, by the time I get to know the bc system it will be time to learn about A school.

ColoradoConnie, what is the dress coed for grad? I was thinking something casual but cute. Flats for shoes..Is that ok?

I haven't started to pack yet, but the pets are booked into their favorite kennel, the van has had the oil changed, brakes checked tires rotated and is sparkling clean. I am planning a shopping trip with my sis in  law to find a new outfit for PIR. Have shopped for the travel food and drinks. Have even started to pack our sons stuff so when we get back we can ship it to him in P'cola!!

Thinking good thoughts for all of the Divisions doing Battlestations this week!! Has anyone heard from Div 927 as to when they will be doing their BS?

Diannep, Thanks so much for the encouragment,...will continue to pray for this group.  I already know (and feel) that PIR is going to be one huge emotional day for this mom,......and the rest of us on this page. :-)  I'm tearing up already at the thought.

Yes, 1ProudMomma:  There is hope!  This happens in every PIR group...and ladies worry as you are.  But then they do it!  So have faith...they are seeing light at the end of the tunnel now...and that NAVY cap in their future!  So prayers...and faith that the RDCs are doing their jobs and will get it done. HOOYAH!

p.s.  when you watch them march at PIR, you will find it hard to believe that they ever didn't work as a team!  :-)

I'm hearing from other mom's of my SRs division that they are still not coming together as a team.....I'm saddened and concerned by this.  I had so hoped that this would be a time of camaraderie and building those close relationships......is there still hope for this group to pull it together?

I'm surprised that with such a small PIR group, they are doing some BattleStations on Wed night/Thurs morning right before PIR.  Although they used to do this pretty often, they haven't been doing this for some time now.  I have been keeping track of the schedules for about a yr on here...and it has been a LONG time since I saw BattleStations going Wed night/Thurs morning right before PIR.  Strange.  Wondering if 177 could actually be going Tues night/Wed morning and he was mentioning the "I'm a Sailor" call day?  Sometimes they do that...write/call home and say "expect a call on such-and-such day when I finish battlestations."  But since Battlestations is an overnight drill, they actually do it over 2 different dates, starting the night before.

They almost always have a BattleStations going on Thurs nights, mainly for the reason Patti gave.  It is not only the first group for many PIR groups to go through, but it is the very last day that someone from a PIR group graduating the next day can do BattleStations and still graduate with their group.  So there are "makeup" SRs in this group usually...ones who either failed before going through or who did not pass a final test and missed their division's BattleStations night.

Hoping that more from 177/178 (brother divisions so they will go through together) confirm the dates so we can see if they are going on Tues night or Wed night.

2 days...even the day before...is totally normal for BS. They have many divisions that have to be done in such a short amt of time and they allow for failures so they can retake it.
