Did any sailors who went to Pensacola leave on PIR day from this group?  On the 7/1 group, an SR is saying that they leave on PIR day.  Was wondering if that is standard since we have not heard of that before.

Well ladies, I'm home and trying to wind down from a whirlwind weekend.  The term whirlwind doesn't even begin to describe it!  First off, it was wonderful to meet many of you.  The meet n greet was the perfect opening for a great weekend.  The graduation took my breath away (literally) and spending time with my sailor was priceless.  The goodbyes were worse than I could have imagined.  I really thought going away to bootcamp was the worst.  This surpassed it tenfold.  I thought the tears were done as I cried almost the entire way back to Buffalo.  Seeing so many pics today just brought it all back.  Whew!!!  This was such an exciting experience and now the new journeys ahead are scarey yet exciting as well.  I feel so much closer to my sailor and to all of you.  The connections made are something I will carry with me and hold dear to me forever!  You are a wonderful group and I"m so honored to be a part of it!  Thank you!!  AND HOORAH SAILORS!!!!!!!!!  We are SOOOOO Proud of you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hep's Proudmom, my son's PIR was March 11, we got our DVD in the mail and I was so excited, I saw my son several times....I have watched it over and over!  So much is going on there, I missed so much of the speeches, etc.  you get to see so much that you could not see from one place ....we were way to the left end, so there was lots going that we really did not see when we were there....it's a great memory and well worth the investment!  Can't wait for my Sailor to come home and see it!!!!  we are so proud of him and all these Sailors!  Congrats!

What is on the DVD?  Is the graduation ceremony or something else?

Facebook RTC has wonderful pictures! I posted some blurry ones, but also some of the re-enlistment. Those are also in an album here on my page, and they are good. Just got home from our community Armed Forces Day celebration. Next, Navy Week in June after Memorial Day.
