Scout beach, it's at the Ramada Inn. Thursday,May 19th, 6:00pm-8:00pm.
They serve free hors d'oeuvres, and you can buy drinks..If you are staying at the hotel you get 2 free drinks. It sounds like they do a great job of welcoming everyone there for grad day. I am staying there, I hope it's nice..
I hope this info helps you..
Waiting for the mail man..waiting for a call. I am getting tired of just chasing the phone around every time it rings. My family uses it and then lays it were they were talking. So, I'm chasing it around the house..And then the batteries are dead..I guess I'm just getting worried
Anyhoo,Ya'll have a great day!!!! Will be seeing all of you soon!!! 36 days..
woo-hoo!
My dtr is 174 and I got one last week. She wrote on 4/3 so I am hoping to get another one tomorrow from 4/10. Could be wrong, but fingers crossed! Mail system is diff everywhere, so maybe you are on the snailmail system. Lol
Do you all realize we are up to 58 members? Isn't that wonderful! Very exciting to know our SR's will be graduating together.
I have yet to book my hotel. I am stuck between Ramada for convenience or the Residence Inn. My big question is whether Ramada has a breakfast. A meal a day can make a big difference! Is the Ramada really much worse than Residence? We are driving in from Buffalo on 5/19 and want to go to MNaG. I am worried about the extra time to check in and get back to Ramada. I am not sure how far away each place is from oneanother. Probably overthinking it, but after 8-9 weeks of talking to you all, I really don't want to miss my 1 opportunity to actually meet you in person! I want to take in the whole experience of PIR and you all are a big part of it. Everyone else seems to think I am an emotional wreck. Here, I find comfort without feeling crazy. Lol TY for that!
ccross- My dtr it in div 174 and her first letter indicated that day 1-3 was on Apr 4. She was excited for it. So that would put them in week 3 day 1 today. I believe each div is very close to the same or nearby. Maybe a day off. She arrived on 3/22. She also said she could call at the end of week 3 and will have tues and thur afternoon off AFTER week 3 also. So maybe next week we can hear from them. I am not going to count on it, but sure would be nice! Hope this helps.
Amandarenee~My heart goes out to you and your SR. My dtr hurt her knee and I have been so worried about something like this happenng. She's been lucky so far, but I was worrying about this exact thing. I don't think there is anything I can say to make it better for the both of you, but please know that you are in our prayers and wish all the best for you. Keep telling yoursellf "This too shall pass" and someday, regardless of what happens, you will look back and this will all be a memory. Hopefully he will be in the Navy at that time or someplace great. You could be a Navywife by the time he comes back- LOL
Think of it that way~JK Just want you to know you are supported! HUGS
