Thanks Brandis Mom, Craig and diannep for the info.  Everyone has been most helpful and kind on this website.  I'm learning so much and with each piece of information I get more excited for this direction my daughter is taking!  Can't wait to meet this new woman at PIR.

We got our letters yesterday; didn't think we would since we are flooded out on three sides of us with only one way in or out of our farm now. The mail lady must have seen the letters and made an extra effort to get them to us. I must put a treat in the mailbox for her on Monday. : ) Mu son is in 811 and besides the lack of time needed to eat and shower, he told me, "I thought you yelled a lot until I got here." Ha! I was just training him for the big show! He also informed me he's a petty officer and is in charge of the "Dirty Dozen" cleaning up the bathroom. All those years of making him clean his own bathroom at home paid off..just not thinking HE thinks so!  So good to 'see' his voice.Yep, he misses my cooking, too. Here's hoping all of you get your much anticipated letters...

@futurenavywife....yes my son is in Ship 7 Div 177. He left out of Sacramento on 3/29. I know it has been a long 12 days for me also. I didn't even recieve the "I'm here" phone call!! The only thing I have recieved is the for letter which gave his address and grad date, and the 3 very short handwritten lines at the end. I miss him so much but they are already approaching their 3rd week so that's good. I a hoping for a letter or a phone call some time soon. What A school will your fiance be going to after BC? My son will be in Pensacola FL for Aircrew training. I have already made reservations for our hotel for grad but still shopping aroung for flights. Good luck to you and feel free to private email me :)
