Traci, It sounds like you both are doing well and are very happy. Its great to hear such happy news. :) Best to you with your pregnancy. It really is a joy! I hope Perry gets the post he wants. Have a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!
I haven't stopped by in a while! So much great news from you guys! I'm glad to hear that everyone over in Japan is safe and sound and mikesproudmom, what great news! I hope they are enjoying their new life together.
As for us, Perry has been on hold after Power School for quite some time now, but he starts Prototype on the 19th. We're looking forward to finishing up this last phase of his nuclear training. We're sitting on pins and needles waiting to see where they send us next! We're hoping for Washington state. For all inquiring minds, Perry didn't get Officer. He was bummed, but apparently no one he knew got it either. They chose very few people this time around.
In other great news from us, we're expecting our first baby in late April/early May! We couldn't be more excited (and of course terrified) and are really looking forward to finally being parents. We got to reach our goal of having kids before 30 (even if we are only a year away!)
I hope everyone continues to do well on their Navy journeys!
mikesproudmom just saw your post. Congratulations to you and your family. Grandchildren are the best. Enjoy the new additions to your family :)
Hi all! Just checking in.
Can you believe its been a year since boot camp? It has been a year since we all banded together to find out as much information as possible about our Sailor's journeys. It was wonderful getting to celebrate Easter with Perry this year and just thinking back over this wild ride so far.
Life in SC isn't very different from life in Florida. The weather is still hot and humid here although the winters are colder. At least there have been actual seasons!
No new news from us on Perry. He's still doing well, rising up the ranks scholastically. He's really enjoying his studies.
There are over 140 applicants for Nuclear Officer so he's keeping his fingers crossed as far as that goes. He has a lot to go through still in the application process and won't know anything until October. The waiting is going to be rough!
I hope everyone is doing well.
Did anyone hear anything about Japan? Didn't we have one or two from this group with Sailors over there?
