Woo Hoo! I have goose bumps and my eyes are watering. I'm so proud of My son the "SAILOR". He sounds a little tired but great. Drinking his first caffinated drink since he got to boot camp. He says the division are all awsome people and his Rack mate is Drew. I was so excited I couldn't remember some of the things I wanted to ask.

Oh, I'm floating on cloud 9! Kaitlynn, He's calling you right now - he didn't want me to call and tell you or your phone would be tied up.
He said they have been awake forever and he sounded exhausted. They have to stay awake until 10 pm. He has what sounds like a terrible cold, but he said it is just the sniffles (NOT!). He said Battlestations were awesome and they did great. He also said that his is the best division in the ship by far! Ship 14, Division 190. Said they won all their flags and pennants and the WERE in the Hall of Fame until they messed up (whatever that means). He is a section leader also. He said that he can't talk about the details of Battlestations or the rest, but that it was awesome. Ummm, I can't remember the rest - he just sounded GREAT and I am SO happy!!!!!

My letter came today also! Instead of calling it the gas chambers, he called it the "confidence chambers" haha good to know he still has a sense of humor.. He is no longer counting down the days. He is counting down the hours! For BattleStations (which was last yesterday into today) he said they would be up for 36 hours straight... So I expect to be talking to one very tired Sailor. He did really well on his last PFA. He said he did the mile and a half in 10:35, 95 push-ups and 121 sit-ups which was the most in his division! I am so proud of him! One final request he had was that I bring him his Ipod. He really misses him music... =)

I'm anxiously awaiting the "I'm a Sailor" phone call now... It should be coming anytime now! I have my phone cranked all the way up so I won't miss it! Ahhhh

The mail man just came :) Got a two sided letter. He wrote about how they were finishing up fire fighting and Battlestations coming on Wed. (Today) Coming up are marching , drill and physical fitness assessment and final written test. He liked the hands on fire fighting training and said they had the Gas Chamber...but no complaints. He feels ready to start A school. Overall sounds up beat and never mentioned the grueling IT they got on May 1. He asked if Istill visit Navy for Moms:) oh Yeah! Just hearing from everyone on the site does my heart good :) So grateful for the support and shared info.

Thanks :) I'm going to try to keep busy. I should probably pull out the carry on's for the plane and start thinking about what to pack.

Test 3 is their final comprehensive test on the information they've been learning. So hopefully they're all studying very hard! Our nuke boys will sail through though with those big brains of theirs!
Thanks momof5, I hope he feels better too. I just don't want it to affect his productivity. He's so close to finishing!
Rob's an EM too so it looks like they will get to know each other! That's good that they'll have somebody they've been through it all with, even if they don't end up the best of friends. I feel like that bond is key for all of them to make it through all of this.
