For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Congrats to all Moms and family members of honor grads. Thats awsome! I really like both ideas for the meet and greet... colored ribbons and the pins.

So hurry up Thursday! :)
I hope everyone else is keeping busy and focusing those energies! I think if I refinish one more piece of furniture or start one more project in my mother's house, she'll kill me! I nest when I'm anxious. But, she has been awesome letting me stay with her while Perry has been gone. We've enjoyed having the alone time (I'm an only child and she's divorced). On the upside, her house looks phenomenal! Haha

As far as pins or ribbons, I think we can do both whoever is more comfortable with what as long as we know one or the other symbolizes a n4m.

I think I read where Mikesproudmom was going to a meet and greet in Ohio this past weekend and was going to pick some brains their. I have not seen post in a while. Maybe she got some ideas or supplies from that. However, just let me know what everyone has agreed to do and I will do it. I know that my daughter was not sending her pictures home. She is giving them to me after PIR.

Blue- DIV 189
Green- DIV 190
Orange- DIV 191
Yellow- DIV 192
Etc... ?
