The days of Battle Stations depend on which division your recruit is in. Mine is in 190 and will be going through BS the 12th & 13th. And from what I have been hearing, DIV 192 will be going through BS the 16th & 17th. Only one division does battle stations at a time. DIV 189 will go first, 190 second, 191 third... etc..

Robbie told me he only receives and can send mail on Sundays. That was during the last phone call 2 weeks ago. Maybe they can get mail everyday now? I figured I'd write until next Sunday, hopefully Battlestations day... will RTC forward mail to the recruits after graduation? Hmm.... probably not.

My daughter also told me that she gets about 2 to 3 letters a day (mostly from me). When I am working and go on line at lunch to check out the news of the day, I usually find something interesting that she would enjoy reading. Since she has left, I have gone through about 5 books of stamps and I just bought 2 more. Now that I think about it, I think I will mail the last letter on Monday the 17th after I get the "I'm a Sailor call". Hopefully she will get it the day before PIR.

hmm, I didn't hear that and my son hasn't said anything in his letters. I guess maybe it changes after they've been there a while. thanks for posting about the mail call.

They definitely get mail call every day. So I plan on stopping letters 15MAY10 in hopes that last letter will reach him the day before graduation. =)

Hey ladies so this past week i didnt get a letter neither did his parents and he is a section leader so we think they didnt let him mail letters. Im mailing my last letter this wednesday and all the ones i write after that im going to give to him after graduation. Although, i still dont think im going to be able to go.

Traci, I've thought about when to stop mail. I think I'm going to stop sending this coming Weds. If it mail takes two days to get there and they only get it on Sundays then I would think best case any mail they receive by Friday will be given to them that Sunday. I am going to keep writing but I'm just going to give it to him in person. YEAH

Traci, I think am going to send mail up til next Friday. She has been getting my mail about 4 or 5 days after I send it.

Have any of you talked about when you're going to stop sending mail? I know he gets mine a week behind and I was wondering when I should stop sending it due to the long lag. Any suggestions?
