Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yeah, once I realized the call wasn't coming, I went for a run. And I LOVE letter day. Thursday couldn't come soon enough! I know I was down and discouraged earlier, but I get to see my husband in 2 1/2 weeks. Nothing can take away that joy. Absolutely nothing.

Since i realized that no call was coming tonight, i spent it looking for the best deal on hotels. Found Super 8 at a great rate $55 a night. All booked and ready to go. Now I just have to rent a car.

yay bought the clothes i am wearing to pir! nothing fancy but cute, really wanted get a dress but first time going clothes shopping in a long time didnt help that im 7 and a half months preg lol.

The only calls you can be sure of is the one when they get there, the one that is 3 to 4 weeks in and then after Battlestations.
Traci try not to get the hopes too high. I really try to not think about it but keep my phone with me always. I got a call at 7 in the morning but have gotten 2 calls at 1:30 in the afternoon. (9 and 3:30 there time) He had no clue as to why he was able to call. Some of the Div leaders seem to know ahead of time. I just tried to expect nothing and then was surprised and happy when I got one.
