FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am starting to think that the calls won't come tonight. Very dissappointed. I hope they can call soon. When she first got to BC she said she will call in 3 weeks and it was actually 4 weeks when she called. Oh well.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. We are doing fine. Just wishing he would call again as you all are too. I can't believe PIR's getting so close. But I try to stay calm cause they still have some important tests coming up.

No call for me yet either. Last call was at 6:09 pm, so I will not get my hopes dashed until after that time.

I have no idea when my daughter will be able to call, I've only had one call on April 19, so I mailed her my list of questions with room for answers and a stamped, self-addressed envelope included. If I don't get the written response back, I have printed out a copy to keep handy in case the phone rings! :) So far, no phone calls, and I'll probably be so excited I'll forget the list. hahaha
