Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Comment by Patty_CDS on April 19, 2010 at 12:54pm: On Friday we talked to my son for about 15 minutes. He said the Ship 4 div 927 all got call time. Sorry you didn't hear yet..The calls came in around 3:30 Pacific Time.
We are staying at the Navy Inn for the first night then to the Courtyard by Marriott in Gurney area after that since we are not Grad and Go. He wanted to be off base and have a pool..

Comment by t-wifey (Ship 14/Div 189) on April 19, 2010 at 11:11am: My in-laws and I are staying at Hotel Indigo... It was 79.00 a night for a king suite with a pull out couch bed (military rate). It's a little farther from base than we'd like (like 9 miles), but the hotel looks so cute! I'm a sucker for trying out new places, so hopefully it's as nice as I've read.

It was so good to hear from my son on Friday afternoon. Amazing how hearing their voices helps you sleep better..

No phone call, but I know it's coming. I'm actually glad it didn't come this weekend since I was up in Buffalo. Was so worried I was going to miss it. Booked my airline tickets last nite for PIR... :-) now there's the hotel and car rental. I'm so excited. Then I remembered, darn.... I forgot about getting caretakers for the dogs and birds while we're gone... another thing to worry about.. does it ever end????
