Got my second letter today!!! I feel SO much better having heard from him, except that he kept saying "i'll be able to call the 14th" and "by time you read this, i'll probably have talked to you" and obviously that didn't happen yesterday! :(

He DID ask me what my plans were from PIR weekend to the second weekend in June, so I'm not sure what that meant! But hopefully it means I'll get to visit him in A-School or something!

Otherwise, he sounds good. Hope everyone gets letters today or tomorrow!!!

Our recruiter told us the day our son left that they take out the money for the uniforms to assure that they don't take off with the uniforms and go missing. Then I think he said they get reimbursed for them at the end of A school.

Our son got all 4 wisdom teeth out on Fri. and they sent him to bed and told him to put a towel over his pillow. When he woke up the towel was drenched with blood and had soaked through to his pillow. He said in his letter it looked like someone had been killed. That made me a little sad. But other than that he sounded like things are going alright.

beatrizm, I sympathize. I got all teary eyed as well. You are happy that others got letters and calls, perhaps a little envious as well, but their news, if not our news too, brings down the waterfalls. But once we get our calls and letters, we'll be doing the "happy dance" too..... and maybe a few cartwheels..lol.

Thanks, momof5. Still no letters, much less phone calls. I was okay until the last couple of days when everybody else seems to be hearing from their kids. I'll just have to be patient. Thanks for the info, glad to hear your recruit's been able to call.
