I believe AT&T has a wireless (modem) that u can get thru them. Call your AT&T cell phone provider and they will tell u what plans they have available. I know, it is confusing, our son's phone has wireless hot spot and is able to connect 8 computers to his phone for an additional 29.99 a month. that is through sprint. but my daughter has a blackberry and that is not available on her phone.

Just found out that in San Atonio Texas the sprint is 4G and is unlimited usage. Some of the other places had limit usage restrictions, if you go over the usage then they charge over the limit, I hope this helps :)

This is so confusing for me....

We have AT and T, and no, she doesn't have internet on her phone. We still pay for it (wink) Do I call wireless services or my internet service??

Gnome thanks I have to check on the tether service through sprint.

The usb card I was quoted was thru sprint and it will be free as long as I get a 2 year contract at $50.00 a month for the service, since I already have sprint I am going to get it thru them. I have checked several other places and they were about 50 - 60.00 a month. I am going to pick one up this weekend so I can take it to my daughter when I go to Texas next week. :)

If they have a cell phone with internet on it, they can tether their phone to their computer via a special program so they get internet on their computer.

I think they're allowed to take pics of their rooms (the interior) but not sure on the base grounds...so I think it's safe to assume no!! :)

I wondered the same thing about the wifi card, Mari.  I hadn't thought of that. My dot is at Ft Sam and they don't have internet in the dorm. Please let us know what you find out about the card!!

Love you ladies so much. I never want to leave this group.

Parrot - any more word from Here4?? I've been praying my tongue off. That girl just has to make it!!
