Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I did get a note back from Sandy yeasterday ladies here it is...

thanks. have not talked to her since june 2nd. in a letter she said she failed the final pfa by 15 seconds. it makes no sense to me. three battle stations this week and zero next. sure hope she goes to one this week. and thanks for thinking of us.
Everyone write to her please!  She is on facebook...message her with a note.  You will see her posting on out facebook page early on.  "Sandy"  If you need her name message me or facebook me!

Still routinely checking this page...it's like an addiction! Glad to hear everyone made it home safe. That story about that girl is heart wrenching. Such a reminder of how lucky we are that our sailors are on to the next part of their journey with the Navy. Mine is fixing up his uniform for inspection tomorrow as we speak. Laundry and ironing at 11pm...who would have thought?

Aw, Girls, I forgot- she didn't have any clothes to wear otherwise. That is so sad. Why couldn't they let her parents send her some civvies? That would've been pretty humane...

Just got in early this morning from a long road trip.20 hour drive to great lakes to see my son pass in review, then Saturday we drove down to Pwnsacola to spend the day with him before droving home later last night. 3,000 miles in a car on this road trip but would not of missed it for the world. was a very emotional day but what an awesome PIR. when the door rolled up the tears rolled down. Congrats to everyone who finished boot camp.
