Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by sammy on April 24, 2011 at 6:14pm: My husband called me today as well. It was so good to hear his voice. He sounded great. We got to talk for 12 minutes. He said he is actually having fun. He said the food is great. He complained about the showers and that he has bathroom cleaning duties. He seemed very postive and upbeat and he just said that he missed everyone but he is actually having a good time... to hear that is great! I am so glad to hear from him and know that he is doing good!

Comment by KimT on April 24, 2011 at 5:31pm: He said that his bald head is ugly and complained of having only 2 standing pole showers (the one's with the multiple heads)for 88 men--have to shower all in 7 minutes, so that's time for only a few washes of the dirtiest areas. :-) But, he sounded great, PT is easy and he's at the top of the division, food is great, and the RDC thought he was a "smartass" because he knew all of the standing orders right away. Overall he sounded positive, upbeat, and happy, and it was just what I needed today!!!!
