Hello Navy Moms.....My Daughter in law is still waiting on her form letter.  Hopefully we will receive it today!  My son arrived at boot camp on April 13th, I have just been wondering what he is doing now?  Looking forward to Graduation already!

yes eights, a high ASVAB score can also put them in the performing division. They don't get mail during "P" days and it is usually about a week or so after the division is formed before they can write letters or receive mail. They have to train a person to be the "mailman" a very well liked person lol. So it ends up being between 2 and 3 weeks before they get or receive mail.

Hi Kim T and Allyson my son is in the same div 195 and ship 11, the comments on the bottom of the letter has made my day and night, he still has a sense of humor which makes me happy. Can't wait to talk with him

Hi Lala! Thanks for the info! I know for a fact that my husband has NO performance experience, but he's going in with his Bachelor's degree & scored very high on the ASVAB, so I'm assuming that's why. I sent my first batch of mail out yesterday when I got his address from the recruiter :) I heard that it takes quite a while (a few weeks?) for them to start getting mail so I hope he gets some soon! I can't wait to start getting some from him (other than his form letter today - which still made me smile from ear to ear!).

eightsonthemove- the 930 division is a performing division. Your SR could be in band, choir, flag corp, drill team or working behind the scenes as a greeter or door holder. It is a great division to be in and such an honor to be chosen :-)

It is so good to see the form letters are starting to arrive. Start sending those letters as soon as you have the form letter and address. They live for mail call.
