Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks so much to all of you for taking pictures of the choir. I am so excited just to catch a glimpse of my daughter. If you want to try and figure out which one she is here is a description: short 5' 1" sandy blonde hair (bobbed haircut lol) and I think she will be wearing a cute little white sailor uniform hehe. Her BC nickname is Skipper. I know how excited you all must be, please have a great time and be safe in your travels. God bless you all.

Mom2sailorx3 thanks so much all of your comments have helped keep my sanity in check. My son is now about 3 hours away from completing BS21. I am up for work, I have a license test to take where I can't have my phone this morning. I will be awaiting the call with abaited breath.

I'm nervous, too, heis63. It's definitely going to be hard to fall asleep tonight and to focus tomorrow at work. Sometimes my reception is spotty at work, so I've been silently freaking out for a week that I'm going to miss his call tomorrow. I should have just taken the day off! =) Take care everyone.

Hey... just wanted to say I think we are all nervous tonight... my fix was oreo cookies and icecream... there goes a few pounds to my backside... Thought of mowing my lawn in the dark to keep busy but then I thought about it and decided it would be a mess to straighten up in the day light so I am going to try to go to bed and read awhile.... HOPEFULLY fall asleep. I am sure I will be up real early. Thank you all for your support through these long weeks especially Mom2sailorsX3 Div 934. You have been a wealth of information!
