Accep10s, contact your SR's recruiter, they will have the password. My ex got the letter too but I finally got a copy yesterday. Good luck and enjoy your time with your SR!

from what my SAILOR : ) said... captains cup was today?! he said he did ok but didn't take first place (which is crazy to think someone out did him in sit-ups b/c he did 141 in 2 min. during the competition) well anyways I got another call today : ) I love talking to him... he is now all sugared up...literally!! All the sweets and goodies they have been missing out on awaits them in "recruit heaven" lol

what is Captain's Cup? I know it's a competition between the divisions, but what do they actually do?
Comment by NancyJo (NNPTC) on July 2, 2010 at 11:43am
My son called last night and said they passed Battlestations with flying colors and are looking forward to today's Captain's Cup. He sounds pumped and ready to go. He said he has actually enjoyed boot camp! He will leave Saturday, probably very early, for SC.

Bar KWife.....similar to Jennifer, our total call(s) were probably around 40-45 min. My son said the delay in calling was due to the fact that the did not have enough phones to get everyone to them in time. My son was able to call both my husband and I with the news. I am sure I asked a million more questions so I took most of the time (total me thing :)....Time was delayed as well due to the fact that after BS, his division did something wrong and as my son said....they had to stare at rocks for about two hours....Keep in mind this may have been exaggerated as he was in goofy spirits due to lack of sleep...:)

Captain's Cup - that's the name of the event my son was talking about. He was excited to do that as well.

He also told me that Captains Cup is Saturday and he is competing in sit ups (he's up to 121 in 2 min.!!!) I'm sure they will all enjoy a little bit of fun!! Good luck to all : )

bar- my phone call was 41 min. they had an hour, but there were more sailors than phones so mine got off so another could call home. : ). I didn't get mine until 4:45 est. so don't worried if he hasn't called by 3 (I know I did) Good luck, and I hope you get your call soon!!!
