Sundays has been historically my call day. I am attaching every phone to my self today so I don't miss a potential call. Everyone on this board has so much to be excited and proud about! I love reading folk's comments, it's a fun way to keep in form and share. I guess in some ways we are all now part of the US NAVY!!!

Things to look forward to: When you see them at PIR - you will almost swear that they have grown 2-3 inches in height! We were used to how Brandon slouched or hung his head, but not any more. We had no idea he was as tall as my husband - it was awesome to see. You can see the pride in their stance and the proud look on their faces. They will have grown in more ways than one!

Mom2sailor - Ditto to everything you just shared! Believe me, no one is looking at you - they are staring hard to see if one of the guys/gals in a white uniform is their sailor!!! Me and my son's girlfriend wore nice dresses, but then changed into nice jeans once we got to motel. This may be the one occassion where your son is going to show you up! They look awesome and frankly there is nothing you can make or buy to even come close to how good they look - so relax and just wear what makes you comfortable!

yackie1 - your son has learned the most important lesson there is at boot camp. It's all for one and one for all. Teamwork, it's the only thing that works and I'm so glad they are coming together. This is soooo typical, it always takes 3-5 weeks for all of them to start getting that point, learning how to march together and live together. My son's division still had some issues even up to PIR, but they came together where they needed to most and they graduated. That's our goal, to get them through and OUT of boot camp! Your son is already a winner, he knows what's important!

Ship 13 - DIV 241 - YAY! A letter and a phone call in the same day! Gas chamber on Monday..my son said BS will be Tuesday the 6th....He said it is delayed because of Holiday routine. We got to speak for about an hour, it was so good to hear his voice...actually what voice he has left, he sounded very hoarse. Said he really enjoyed live fire and said Marlinspike was extremely fast paced - he said the days are flying by and is so proud of his division. 12 days ladies!!!!!

UPDATE - SHIP 13 - DIV - 241
Just got a letter from Justin this morning. He said Division 241 just completed live fire training on Tuesday. They were having a drill inspection on Wednesday, and he was hoping for the Drill Flag. Said their division has the Athletic Flag, Scholastic Flag, Star Flag and the Division Flag, (which is the flag they made). He is the one who calls cadence so he said his voice is starting to go out on him, but said he is still screaming thru it!! Said he is still having fun, but will not miss the midnight fire drills! Also said it has really gone by fast and he cant wait to see us in 2 weeks :)
