Congrats on your loved ones' upcoming graduation. Our grandson just graduated one week ago today: June 11th. It is an AWESOME experience. If someone attending graduation on 07/09 could do me a favor I would be very grateful. At PIR they sell sailor caps with Recruit Training Command Great Lakes on them. They are $5 each. We bought one but we have 2 other grandchildren that would LOVE to have one. I would like to send money and our mailing address (extra money for postage and handling) to anyone that would get me two more while there.

my son was also so excited, the day I got my real phone call (35 mins) he had just tried on his dress whites, and he also said he looked good! I am sure it is an awesome feeling for them to put on that well deserved uniform and look/feel good in it! I cant wait!

My son says he just looks good in his uniform....I think he just likes the way it looks because he was really fit when he enlisted so I am not sure if it's PT or the guys and gals just thinking they look good! LOL I know that I speak for all when i say that we will think they look GOOD TOO! (smile)

joesmom - my son (ship13div241) said the same to me. He played football all during highschool, so is used to rigorous PT and 2 a days in the summer. He was surprised to see that there is not alot more PT, but at the same time is not really complaining~!

I just got a few letters. In it he said they may be able to start sending out letters during the week and not just on Sundays! Still no word if his division is a grad n go yet. I should be getting a lot more letters here soon from what he said. He also said they work out a lot and he too is looking GGGGOOOOOODDDDD according to him. : ) I can't wait to see him, I'm so excited!!

I received my 3rd letter from bootcamp yesterday. There has been no mention of grad n go, I am assuming he would have known by now..??? I am so excited and cant wait to see him in his dress whites on 7-9-10!

Thank you. I'm feeling kind of bummed. I hate that I don't get letters until Thursdays!! The anxiety of a grad-n-go is KILLING me!
