hitomi, I did not rec a ltr with BS date, it was posted by another N4M who did rec a ltr from her son on Ship 12/Div259. . So, I'm hoping this info is correct. However, BS will be happening soon, if Ship 10 just passed it, I wld think that Ship 11 does it Mon./Tue. and Ship 12 wld. be Tue./Wed. I think they go the night before, and it's thru the night to the next day, then we get "the call"...it will be soon and we need to keep sending out the good luck & prayers for our recruits. As for ltrs "to and fro" it is definitely "snail mail". My son has given me no requests, except to bring a comfy pillow from home. So I imagine a nap is being lead up to.

We're at the Comfort Inn, they provide shuttle too. We also will have rental car. Like you, printed parking pass, not sure which is best. Will decide after checking in and "checking out" surrounding area, base location, etc.

nnylear - I have to laugh because the current insurance is the one item my son never could remember to keep in the car.

Is anyone going to Great America? My husband wants to go but I think my son would be the only one going on the roller coasters. Not something my mom or I care for. My husband doesn't even like them, he just thinks it would be cool to go.

So, Is anyone taking the shuttle in to the base? We are thinking of doing that for sure, We are at the Ramada and they provide that. I have a parking pass printed out so just in case I need to take my car. i will have to make sure our insurance card and registration are in it.

Ditto on Jessicab's answer to christina - there are no tickets!
Suggestion: Send a letter first thing tomorrow asking him if he can change the names on his list, it may be too late, but can't hurt to try. And it's not the end of the world, because if there is room left in the hall, they can come in as extras. And if not, they can hang at the NEX or go back to hotel until after 10:30 - not the ideal situation, but better than not coming for the weekend at all.
