Johnsgirl- leave chits generally do not get approved while in "A" school. If your prom is on a Friday he will more than likely not be able to take the day off to get there in time. Usually they have tests on Friday. If your prom is a Saturday and he is doing well in school they may approve an out of bounds chit for him.

you can go as anywhere within the United States when you are in A-school i believe. Your SR just has to fill out a chit for leave

Hi girls i have a question..my SR kept saying to me that he'd be able to come home for my senior prom..but i honestly don't see how that'd be possible..isn't there a certain mile range you have to stay within while your in A School? And i'm sure he can't just pick that day to leave can he? I'm trying not to get my hopes up incase he won't be allowed to come you know? Any type of advice is realllyyy appreciated!

Thanks girls. My boyfriend is so positive that everything will work out and it even seems to me that he is leaning towards helping me out financially a little more, he must want me there real bad :) but im hoping that God will point me in the right direction soon.

Lyndsi, I'm sorry you are stressed out. My boyfriend is in Pensacola too. It's only been 3 days and I feel like I am about to loose my mind trying to figure things out. Turns out he is going to be there for 6-8 months! I might actually consider moving down there myself..

I'll pray for ya lyndsi!! you'll find something. maybe even send your boy out on the weekends to go check the areas out? That could be helpful!

Im still looking but because i have a tight budget it makes it hard to find anything worth living in :(

Lyndsi-have you looked near the college? (University of West FL is there I believe). Well I don't know how close to the base that is but student areas are usually a little safer.

Moving to Pensacola is a pain in the butt if you cant get there at least one weekend before you go to check the place out. I was going to move into some apartments out there, they had it ready for me to move in and everything but i was discouraged when i found out that there is tons of gang activity in that area. Now i am looking once again. YAY (not). If your not married and just a girlfriend then your options are pretty slim. Right when i thought everything was finally working out its like im back to square 1 :( please pray for me ladies because the lord knows i need all the help i can get.

No offence taken. Just tired as hell. I've been running on 1 hour of REAL sleep, and about an hour nap on the couch. Really tired waiting for the boy to get done with study. Right now- November is what's on my mind. That's when I get to go see him.
