Thanks Nicole. My boyfriend has been in for almost a year now. He started to develop the attitude around April or May. He's gotten a little better, but I want it to continue improving! lol We have a friend who was in the army for a while and he got out quite some time ago, yet he treats his girlfriend and her family like shit. He's practically living at her house, and sits on his ass playing videogames all day. Might I mention he's yelled at her mom? I do NOT want my boy turning into a monster like that!!! lol

Yasmine, my boyfriend was in Pensacola back in Jan/Feb. Do you have any questions?

Welcome MISSMYHERO! Glad to have you here. There is TONNSSS of info all around this site. A bunch of discussions above, some describing about us personally here, some with info on housing and moving to certain places, things to do with your sailor etc. You can page back on stuff and see if there's info there, i'm sure there is. Attitude is something that more often than not changes in some way. My boyfriend had the "I'm a hot shot attitude, I can do whatever I please!" Well, it didn't get him far, because I have a very contrasting personality. He realized after trying to have that attitude that it wouldn't go well to have it around me. Depending on how far along your S.O is in his career can make the difference. Who he hangs around, weather he's fresh out of boot or already at a duty station etc. Anyone else have any input on either of her questions?

Also- this is a very open group, feel free to ask anything, or if you need a bunch of answers, post a discussion and let us know down here you need input in your forum. :D

Hey ladies :] Finally found a "Girlfriends" page! I have 2 main concerns right now. #1 is his attitude. He's getting better, but it's still borderline, "I'm such a bad ass and I want to fight 24/7" I know he's stressed, but I don't want him to lose who he is. #2 is that he'll be deployed next year. First time for the both of us. If anyone has gone through deployment, please give me advice or anything important I should know. Emails only, I know that. Moreso about how to get through it and how the boys will be feeling. (Especially if your boy is an ABE!!!!!) Please and thank you girls!

Ah. PIR was the best. Loved every second of it. My sailor is going to FL tomorrow for A school. Which he says will only be a month, because be is undesignated, but plans to do whatever he has to do to get a good job I'm guessing. We are also making plans to get married while he's in A school, he's gonna find out when he gets there what he has to do. (:

They give the recruits their orders about 2 weeks before graduation, so next time you talk to him ask him what his orders are :)

He got moved to undesignated?? when? before BC? that doesn't make any sense. did he sign a contract and then get moved to undesignated? or was this before he ever went to MEPs that they told him he'd have to go undesignated? you don't ever want to go into the navy as undesignated unless you are planning on volunteering for spec ops. ..... He'll probably get BM or something. If he is undesignated then that doesn't mean that his A school will be in FL. It depends on his rate and where the school is for that specific rate is.
