Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

AblueOK, will they be traveling through Springfield Missouri area? I live in Springfield and would be willing to help with a meal if they will be in the area.

If there are any Navy Moms out there in the Corpus Christi area I have a Marine from our home town and 11 of his buddies that will be leaving Cherry Point, NC headed your way to attend a fallen Marine's funeral... The Marine Corps has given them the leave to attend, but they are all having to fund their own traveling, lodging, and meal expenses... As you well know our troops are not the highest paid work force and these 12 boys are scraping and traveling on a shoe string, and will most likely be sleeping at rest areas in their cars... If there is anyone reading this that has any affiliation with a group or church that would be willing to offer a meal or meals to these young men traveling to lay one of their own to rest please let me know...

Thank you so very much

Once I 'approve' you (seems so formal ;) then you can privately send along your name, phone number and location! Love to have all the new members signing up! Seems like we have lots of travelers this time of year~

Check Alaska Airlines also! If you have someone military flying ask for the military discount. It is like their advance ticket price... was the best military discount that I found when I checked prices for my son with short notice!
