Hi, my son Chris will be heading to Corry Station for IT A school next week. What do I need to know? I've been a member of the Pensacola group, but it's mostly about airedales at the NAS, not a lot of info about Corry.

So, here I am!

Hello ladies I am a mom but a wife of a sailor who is a fleet returne to class up for CTM A school. Unfortunaly there isnt much information out there in my circles so I hope I dont offend anyone on here. I would like to know how long the att and A school is. We are waiting on his hard orders to see if they will be moving us with him from our current duty station. My husband has been a submariner for almost 10 years. I feel sorta new to all of this all over again coming from such a diffrent place., Thanks for any help

Jammie Thank you for your welcome! I became a N4M member prior to my son leaving for BC on 9/21/2009. His PIR was 11/20/2009. He is currently on hold at Corry Station. He is happy to be at Corry! He is a Reservist and will return home after A School (and possibly C School) - could be several months to a year. Then he will be back in college to finish his BS. Congratulations ~ be proud! Hey all, I have discovered gold. (not really-but I've discovered something really good). If you all find yourselves visiting hotels more than usual because of now having a sailor (I know we have-we've been in hotels 2 out of 3 weekends getting over to Justin while he's in A schooling at Pensacola) I wanted to share this...the Quality Inn group has a free program called the Choice Priveleges rewards program. From Feb 5th-the end of April if you have 2 different stays you earn a free night on your next visit. And it's repetitive. You can keep earning over and over for 2 more stays, etc. Aside from that promo period they have their normal program where you can still accrue for free stays, etc. There is a Quality Inn right there on Corry Station property that we stayed at. It was nice. Clean, safe, reasonable pricing, free bfast and they're very friendly. See choicepriveleges.com. Happy free hotel stays!

True, that is what I call my son is a computer nerd. But that's a good thing to be that smart. It sure sounds, anyway, like the Navy really needs our guys and girls at Corry doing all the computer stuff to keep the ships going.

Thanks, Susan. We just got back last night from our 2nd trip to see our son (we took him his car). We, actually, stayed at the Quality Inn which is considered right on Corry Station (it's right there outside of the main entrance way). That's where we'll stay from now on. Nice, clean, close, free bfast (better than your traditional cont. bfast) and they have a frequent stayer program. We've already earned a free night with these 2 stays. The beach is beautiful. I cannot even imagine how many millions it would cost to own those homes on the beach. We met up with a friend I've made on N4M who lives only 1 hr away and her son and ours were buddies in BC as well as they're in PNS (but different bases). Nick (her son) hasn't gotten to Phase II yet and must wear uniforms and be back by 10pm. Justin just got to Phase II, can wear civis and can be back at midnight. Plus he got his car. I guess that's pretty unusual. Justin said, when I asked why Corry seems to be so different than the Naval air station base, and he said probably because Corry is much smaller and that Corry holds the 'brainiacs'-haha. Probably true though.
