Sorry to hear about your mom, but as long as she is in a good nusing home that helps. HOW MANY TEXTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh Boy! I have heard the lines for the computers on the ships are very long. That is one thing good if Stephen ever goes on a ship he uses a computer all day long. Buy her some really pretty stationary and she will write and you can write lots. See people are very grateful to out military and they should be. When Stephen was coming home from ) P-Cola they put him in first class, that was really nice. I guess you will not be around too much, just enjoy your daughter, take lots of pictures.

YEA! ALi is home, I know you are smiling from ear to ear. LOL Give her a big hug from all of us. I went to lunch with a group of N4M and most of their sailors are on a ship if you have any questions just ask I learned a lot on Saturday. I have to re-read everything you wrote running to lunch but will get back.

Oh Robin, we know how you are feeling, our babies. And that is perfect to put her in the prayer book, I work in a Catholic school and just want you ladies to know that our sailors are on my pray list at school so everyday they have over 400 prayer coming there way. Enjoy your time with Ali. It is very hard when they are so far away. I bet she will love it tho. Sorry to hear about Gandmother but she will have the help she will need and you will not have to worry about her being alone. I have cried in the most usually places, like the dentist office and at work, in the car. LOL What I tell everyone this, if you are taking her to the airport make sure you have sunglasses and lots of kleenex. When I took Stephen I was so prepaired, I cried so hard I shook, I don't think the sunglasses helped. LOL We are here for you Robin, always!

My mother always says boys are better. LOL I have two dogs, mine and Stephen, I never thought we would have two dogs and my dog HATES Stephen's dog, has bitten her twice and she had to get staples, it is not fun at my house. But I have to tell you when Stephen skypes me and he is have a bad day or just lonely missing his family, Daisy (Stephen's dog) will walk by skype and he will get the biggest smile on his face so we have to keep her, he just loves her. Stephen called all the time when he first got down there but I do hear from him at least once a week but I tell myself he has made friends, he works a lot, so he is adjusting and that makes me happy. You are right though husbands and friends don't really get it that is why it is so important we have each other.

At our house it's the opposite, I hear from the boys almost every day - Steven is a golf pro in Alabama, calls me at least every other day if not every day, Michael lives 1 town away and is a grocery store manager and it seems he's always working but he calls either his dad or me every day. Devin, bless his heart if he doesn't call on skype which he can't do on the ship, he sends me an e-mail almost daily! The girls, if we're lucky we hear from them about once a week! Lisa is a nurse in Kentucky, single and has an pretty active social life! Shana lives in our town but has 2 little ones that keep her pretty busy, she is more prone to texting us or just popping in once and a while and usually it's when she needs to shop and wants babysitters! I always said, God gave me boys for a reason! LOL

Carrie - (((((((((()))))))))) (that's a cyber hug!) I know how you are feeling, I have always been very active and close with my kids and I miss them like crazy! Seems like when ever one would move on, (have 5 - my 2 sons that I gave birth to and 3 I adopted when Frank and I married, 1 more son and 2 daughters, all raised here with us) I get another dog! Seriously, I am up to 8 dogs now! (a couple of the kids have moved back home and left again! LOL! What I am missing the most right now is the sound of Devin's voice, he e-mails me whenever he can but I so miss hearing his "Hey Momma!" I find myself wondering quite frequently, how did they all grow up so quickly?! You're not alone honey, we're here for you!

Carrie, I am sorry you are feeling down, believe me I know how you feel. As time goes on it does get better. When Stephen first got down there we talked all the time, but he is so busy lately we don't talk as much and his skype is not hooked up yet. I am glad she called. I told Stephen we are here wondering what is going on and that we miss him. Wondering if everything is ok! Everything is so new and exciting for them I think they forget we are here thinking of them. So I am sending you a hug also, GROUP HUG!!!

Sharon, that is so good for Devin, I bet he is learning so much. Thanks for sharing what is going on in Haiti, it is good to know, we have inside information. LOL How long will he have to be there? Will he go to Italy then? When Stephen went in he wanted to go into the medical field but at that time they were sending everyone to Iraq and we did not want that (he was a fireman before he went into the Navy). So I am glad your son is doing so well.

Robin, where is your daughter now? Does she want a ship?

Thank God we have one another it does help.

Hi Debbie! Thanks for asking, he is doing well. I get an e-mail from him almost every day. Sent me some stats today, thus far 222 surgeries, no deaths in surgery but they have had 11 deaths on board so far. He said that spirits are high and everyone is working well together and working very long hours. He says it seems as if there is no end to the number of people that need them right now and that the Hatian people are very appreciative of the care they are gatting.

That could be, Stephen had problems with his flights, all started at O'Hare, his flight came in late so he missed the next flight in GA. Then he had to spend the night in the airport and booked one in the morning, when he went to get on the flight, the lady who took care of him did not save him a seat so he could not get onto that flight either. So finally the Navy called us at home and asked us where our son is and I asked him why did they not know. LOL We knew so that night he got on to another flight and arrived in Rome and then onto Naples so he should of gotten there Friday and he arrived Sunday night and two days later his bags arrived, poor kid. I hope we have better luck with our flights.

Hi Carrie and Sharon!

Sharon, how is your son doing?
