Devin says he sees Amber when he goes to work out as well so at least we know they are taking care of themselves! He did mention today that she lives on his base and is going to be working in labor and delivery! He found out today that the surgeon he is assigned to is on leave but should be returning this week, so he is working to get all his computer orientation stuff completed quickly. I think he's worried that if he has too much time off he'll be rusty when it comes time to get to work! :0)

Carrie - Yep - that was Devin! He told me he met Amber where they have to go and sign in. He's starting to get anxious to get started working, he's been off since graduating on November 19th from Surg Tech school and has had enough vacation time, he's said he's over the whole go out, shop, eat, drink wine stuff, he wants to get in on some surgeries! When does Amber start at the hospital?

HI All! Debbie - when are you going on your trip? Can hardly wait to hear about it! Devin is doing well, thanks all for asking! He is anxious to get started working and his orientation has been slow with the holidays but he seems to be keeping himself entertained! He apparently has quite a few friends there and pretty active social calendar! He has always been our social butterfly! Not sure what his plans are for this weekend but last weekend he went to downtown Naples and sent me lots of pics! We've been skyping which is wonderful, makes my heart happy to see his face!

Thanks Robin I will ask him. Here is a question for you, he is looking for a bed, mattress and box spring, he said everythign is so expensive, IKEA is not too bad but he does not have a way to get it to his place, he is sleeping on a blow up bed now and suggestion. Stephen's bank is in FL. I don't know if he has anything down in Italy, I don't think so.

Hi Sharon how are you doing?

LOL Carrie, I have been thinking of what I am going to take, Stephen was telling me I am bring too many warm clothes, he says we have to talk. LOL They do get very busy there, sometimes a week goes by and I don't hear from him, don't like that but I know he is busy. Don't worry girls I will be drinking a lot of wine, Stephen says it is very good in Italy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Years to all, may the new year be filled with happiness, laughter and love and lots of skypes from our kids in Italy! :0) Oh yeah, and really great rates to Italy from the airlines!

LOL that is so funny Sharon, yes I am a pepsi person. Stephen did say we could buy some at the NEX, so his he is wise he will buy some before we get there. How is you son doing Sharon?

Robin question for you, can you deposit a check into the ATM machines out there?
Comment by Sharon P.M. on December 30, 2009 at 5:51pm
Debbie - that is so funny you should mention diet Pepsi - my son told me yesterday that they don't have Pepsi products there, just coke but that the coke tastes better there than here. We have a rule at our house, "no coke!" LOL my husband has worked for Pepsi for 30 years! When the kids are home someone always puts a bottle of coke in the fridge just to ruffle dad's feathers! And then no one owns up to who did it! I'm with you, going to go for wine when in Italy! :0)

Well I better take a lot of money when I go to Italy. We got a box full of presents from Stephen, I got a beautiful nutcracker, I just love it, I will have to post a picture, Paul got beer. and Samantha got a beautiful ceramic face, it is painted with gold paint, yellow and pinks. Stephen said a man had these faces and you picked the colors you wanted and he pained it for you, pretty cool!
Also he told me no diet pepsi when we go out to eat, well now I cannot go to Italy.LOL I guess I will have to drink a lot of wine! Still no internet yet, so I have not seen him in a few weeks.

How are you ladies doing?
