Devin has a woman as his sponsor and he's spoken to her briefly while he was home - but she apparently she doesn't check her e-mail! Well, I told him that it might be a real pain right now, but down the line it will be a good story! At this point he's just looking forward to hopefully getting there for the weekend so he can spend some time with his corps school buddies! :0)

Sharon this happen to Stephen do worry they say it happen all the time, matter of fact Stephen boss from Italy called us at home and asked where he was. LOL I told him he should know. It al work out. Plus when Stephen got there they lost his bags and if you don't claim them quickly they return them to the states. Try not to worry, Stephen spent two days in the airport.

Well, Devin showed up at the correct time to travel last night and was told the flight was delayed until 0230! No biggie, he was just going to hang out at the airport and deal with it. Well, he is still in VA! I guess the plane got there late and by the time it was cleaned, fueled and serviced, the flight crew had been waiting so long that they were not eligble to fly anymore! So - a new crew was brought in and the plan boarded at 0600 only to have everyone exit the plane as there was some kind of mechanical issue! At 0800 they made the announcement that they were going to take everyone to a hotel to get some sleep and that the flight would be delayed for 12 - 24 hours, they would let them know! My cub is stressed that he has been unable to reach his sponsor and let her know what is going on and thinks he will be left stranded at the airport in Naples! Of course this due mostly to the fact that he hadn't slept in over 24 hours and there were screaming toddlers all around him. I told him I was sure that his sponsor has been kept up to date on his arrival and there is nothing to worry about. He is sleeping now and will call me when he gets word of when he's leaving. Poor kid, he just wants to get there and get settled in! At this rate his packages will get there before he does! :0)

Well, Devin showed up at base last night at his appointed time and was informed that the flight had been delayed for 24 hours! Good thing his buddy stuck around, he was able to just head back to his house for another night! Bless his wife for opening her home to my boy during the hectic holidays!

Dev bought me a camera for my computer before he left so we can skype and we got him a new laptop with the camera built right into it! His flight leaves tonight, am dreading and looking forward to our last call from the states at the same time. I think if I knew when he'd be home again I would be dealing better, not knowing is the hardest part. Hoping maybe he'll be able to come home for a visit before his 3 years are up! I am definitely going to visit him there as well!

I did see the work missing, I miss my son everyday, I talk to him and 10 minutes later I miss him, but we have one another that helps. Skype it is the best, I could not handle this without out it I get to see my handsome son.
